The X Factor

My story isn’t suppose to be where it is right now. I see my story as a kid going through a “not so ideal” family situation, a kid who at times felt like they don’t have anyone who truly loves them and has no friends, or relationships that doesn’t end in abandonment or disappointment. I see that what the world says is to happen next, doesn’t happen.

That is because I serve a bigger God who flipped my circumstances upside down. The world says that after everything that is going on, I should start compromising, that the complacency should sit in at any moment. However, that’s not whats happening. I feel the fire burning brighter, I see the hunger increased, and I see the determination to help a dying and cold world grow exponentially. I see a desperate young man scratching and crawling to escape his falling into dark circumstances. I see the opportunity to give up and quit becoming easier and easier. I see the world trying to bury my flame. However, the response is quick to say “go ahead, fire away.”

Make no mistake this isn’t a result of my own capabilities. It is a result of a true, real, encounter experienced with the Most High. It is a result of a young man crying out, night after night, out of despair to be rescued from the overbearing darkness, and seeing it being changed into an Acts 16:25 story.  It is a young man that has tried to adopt a life of great faith as of Joshua. Why do I share this you might be asking yourself? It is because I see so many similarities in the emotions and circumstances in the people that I come into contact with on a daily basis.

I’m sharing to encourage those that don’t see a light at the end of their tunnel, to keep pressing. To stop trying to crawl out of their pit of darkness and despair on their own,  and allow Christ to light their pit into a story of hope, and His glory. Don’t be fooled, the circumstances still aren’t a walk in the park, but it’s when you begin to see them from a different perspective that you can make a park out of a prison.

A heavenly perspective on your situation is the fuel that will help you to sing praises to your Heavenly father, even though you might feel hopeless and chained down by lies and abandonment. It is the X factor that will allow you to keep marching around your walls, ONE MORE LAP even though you don’t see them even crumbling.

I’m not saying it will be easy once you give it all to Him, Him being Jesus. However, I am saying that denying yourself, picking up your cross and following Him, will allow you to see your dark situation as He sees it. That maybe the reason it continues to get darker, is so the Son can shine brighter through it. Get alone with him, become so consumed by getting deep in His, word, PRAY PRAY PRAY, and watch your darkness start to become a backdrop to the light of Christ.

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hidden.” -Matthew 5:14
